protein evolution

Infinitely recyclable plastic for today, tomorrow, and yesterday.

Protein Evolution
THE CHALLENGE

It's estimated that 91% of plastic waste enters landfills, incinerators, or the environment. The remaining 9% or so of recycled plastic waste is often downcycled, with resulting materials having diminished properties.

This abundant waste is even more significant in the fashion industry, where it's estimated that less than 1% of clothes are recycled into new garments.

Protein Evolution’s new Biopure technology creates a circular polyester without sacrificing quality. In order to take the world closer to net zero, they needed a trusted partner to design and develop their new website and identity system, and strategize their global go to market campaign, in partnership with Stella McCartney, for COP28 in Dubai.

THE SOLUTION

We partnered with Protein Evolution to name and brand their new technology, which we ultimately termed Biopure.

We further developed their visual identity and applied it to an  exciting go-to-market strategy, in partnership with Stella McCartney. We designed and developed their new website while refreshing their messaging framework that we utilized for a thoughtful marketing campaign.

After a successful launch we partnered further with the PEI team to prepare for new investor opportunities and equip their team with robust pitch assets and sales enablement collateral.

3 steps, infinitely reusable resources

Step 1

We source the plastic waste we will eventually recycle, preventing it from entering landfills, incinerators, or the environment and use proprietary pre-processing technology to prepare the waste for biological recycling.

Step 2

We apply AI-designed enzymes that turn the pre-processed plastic into reusable raw materials – a substitute for petroleum-derived raw materials that manufacturers can seamlessly adopt.

Step 3

Plastic manufacturers use our raw materials to create 100% recycled plastic, which packaging companies and fashion brands can use to meet their circularity commitments.
